Who is Grant Oyston?
Oh hey, by the way people posting the visiblechildren.tumblr.com link. Check this out. I did a little digging. I felt if we are going to look so critically at Invisible Children it is only fair that the same is done for Mr. Oyston.
Doing some searching, I can only find Grant Oyston mentioned once on the site of Acadia University. He claims to be a professor of Sociology and Political Science, but his name only comes up here: http://www.theasu.ca/apps/blog/show/12416250-elections-results under “VP Communications”. He does not appear anywhere on Acadia’s sociology page nor their political science page. The site “grantoyston.com” is that of a photographer from Nova Scotia. Guessing from the looks of the photo on his contact page (http://www.grantoyston.com/index.php?x=about), he is indeed a student. Not a professor. Just saying.
EDIT:
He has since changed his post to reflect that he is a student, not a professor. I don’t know if he got called out on it or simply decided to correct things but I appreciate this fix. Thank you Mr. Oyston.

So Facebook has that new Timeline layout for profiles, right? Well what if you want to just tell everyone how cool they are with your cover photo? Then this is for you! I can make a “this girl” version if people actually care :P
Is there anything worse than McDonalds fries? I think not.
